Ghasem Afshar

“I first discovered Qasem Afshar through the song ‘Vaghf-e Parandeha’ (‘Birds’ Sanctuary’), and it left a strong impression on me. His powerful voice and beautiful timbre amazed me. I had always wanted to collaborate with him, and in 2010, that opportunity arose when I arranged the song ‘Negoo Nemishe’ (‘It Can’t Be Said’) with a melody by the late Touroj Shaban Khani. This song was intended to be the first track on Qasem Afshar’s album, but due to various reasons, its release was significantly delayed. Finally, in 2014, it was published. The second song, ‘Roozaneh’ (‘Sunbeam’), had a different vibe from the previous one, and Qasem Afshar delivered a beautiful performance in that track as well. Qasem remains one of my good friends, and I always follow his work.
