The Iranian film “Zede Zarb” was directed by Hadi Shamani in 2014 and was later released on domestic television networks. The plot revolves around Nader, the leader of a music group, who hatches a robbery plan with his friend. Along this path, they encounter various challenges and events.
The film’s music reflects a repetitive cycle, as if narrating the characters’ lives—a perpetual loop of effort and fruitless struggle. The music needed to evoke the necessary emotions for intense scenes of ups and downs, exhaustion, and escape. Consequently, the rhythm is fast-paced, and musical accents create a sense of danger throughout the film.
